PP PE Granule Applications & Pelletizing Solutions

PP and PE granules are widely used as feedstock for plastic manufacturing, recycling, compounding, extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding. For recycling plants and plastic product manufacturers, stable PP PE granule quality directly affects downstream processing efficiency, product appearance, mechanical performance, and production cost.

IVIMA provides PP PE recycling and pelletizing solutions for film scraps, woven bags, raffia, rigid flakes, HDPE bottles, PP containers, crushed pipes, lumps, and mixed polyolefin materials. By selecting the right feeding, extrusion, filtration, cutting, and drying configuration, plastic waste can be converted into uniform recycled pellets for further manufacturing.

What Are PP PE Granules?

PP PE granules are small plastic pellets made from polypropylene and polyethylene materials. They can be virgin resin pellets, compounded pellets, or recycled pellets produced from post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste.

Recycled PP PE granules are commonly produced from washed flakes, crushed rigid plastics, film scraps, woven bags, and densified soft materials. After melting, filtering, cutting, cooling, and drying, the final pellets can be reused in plastic production or blended with virgin resin according to the required product grade.

Main Applications of PP PE Granules

PP PE granules can be used in several downstream manufacturing processes:

Injection molding

Used for crates, buckets, caps, containers, automotive components, household goods, industrial parts, and electrical accessories. Injection molding requires stable pellet size, clean material, and consistent melt flow to reduce defects.

Extrusion

Used for pipes, profiles, sheets, boards, films, and plastic lumber. Extrusion-grade pellets should have stable plasticizing performance, low contamination, and suitable filtration to maintain continuous production.

Blow molding

Used for bottles, drums, tanks, cans, and hollow containers. Blow molding applications require good melt strength, low moisture, and stable pellet quality.

Film and sheet production

Used for packaging film, agricultural film, liner film, construction film, and sheet materials. Film applications usually require better filtration, cleaner pellets, and controlled material formulation.

Pipe and profile production

Used for non-pressure pipes, conduits, drainage pipes, profiles, and recycled plastic building materials. Pellet quality affects extrusion stability, surface finish, and product durability.

Compounding & masterbatch

PP PE granules can also be used as carrier resin for color masterbatch, filler masterbatch, and functional compounds. In this application, feeding accuracy and mixing uniformity are important.

From PP PE Waste to Reusable Granules

A complete PP PE granule production process usually includes material sorting, size reduction, washing, drying, feeding, extrusion, filtration, pellet cutting, dewatering, screening, and storage.

For clean rigid flakes or regrind, a dose-feeding pelletizing line can help maintain stable material input. For lightweight film, woven bags, and raffia, an agglomerator or squeezing system can improve bulk density before extrusion. For mixed PP PE soft and rigid materials, a side force feeding pelletizing line can provide flexible processing and compact line layout.

Choosing the Right IVIMA PP PE Pelletizing Solution

Different raw materials require different pelletizing configurations:

Raw Material Type

PP PE film, woven bags, raffia, soft packaging waste
HDPE bottles, PP rigid regrind, crushed pipes, containers, lumps
Mixed PP PE soft and rigid materials

Wet washed film or lightweight materials

Recommended Machines

Key Benefit

Improves feeding stability for low-bulk-density materials
Supports controlled feeding and stable pellet output
Flexible processing with compact structure

Reduces moisture and increases material density

PP PE Recycled Granule Quality Requirements for Plastic Product Manufacturers

The value of PP PE recycled granules depends on more than just output capacity. The plastic product manufacturers usually care about:
  • Uniform pellet size
  • Stable melt flow
  • Low moisture content
  • Low dust and fines
  • Effective impurity filtration
  • Stable color and gloss
  • Consistent bulk density
  • Reliable packaging and storage condition
A well-configured pelletizing line helps reduce production interruptions, improve downstream molding or extrusion performance, and increase the commercial value of recycled pellets.
